Japandi

Origin: Japandi is a modern blend of the minimalist Scandinavian look and traditional Japanese aesthetics. While Scandinavian interior design focuses on the essentials, Japan embraces clarity and imperfection, the so-called wabi-sabi. Both styles combine naturalness and a focus on the essentials.

Effect: The focus is on a functional, minimalist design expressed through natural materials such as wood, linen, cotton, bamboo, and stone. While Scandinavian interior design is primarily characterized by a minimalist use of high-quality furniture, accents like dark wood give your room a natural, captivating look.

Create the Japandi look

How do you create a harmonious look that reflects the successful blend of Scandinavian and Japanese design? We'll show you which accents you need to add to create a living atmosphere in the Japandi style. You'll also learn which materials, colors, and patterns to choose to combine comfort and structure in your rooms.
